Coyote Ugly
The Las Vegas outpost of
the fabled Southern-style saloon joins its New York City
counterpart as the sworn enemy of the straight and narrow.
Coyote Ugly throws a pedal-to-the-metal, beer-swilling,
trash-talking bash on a nightly basis where misbehavior is
strongly encouraged. Music blares from a jukebox and
there's enough hootin' and hollerin' to make it darn near
impossible to hear. Bartenders aren't shy about telling
customers to quit yappin' and start drinkin'. Ask for
water, and you'll get sprayed. Show up wearing a tie, and
it's liable to get cut off. Women are encouraged to leave
underwear behind for the Bra Wall of Fame.
Zumanity
Cirque du Soleil is
synonymous with drama, creativity, wonder, and mesmerizing
Las Vegas shows. The folks at Cirque du Soleil are at it
again with "Zumanity," the latest offering from this band
of performers, acrobats, and masters of stunning the
senses. "Zumanity" is billed as an "exploration of the
hidden forces behind desire, and a celebration of human
diversity." Translation: lots of flesh and fantasy are to
be found in this seductive production. With its erotic
themes, the intention of the show is clearly to provoke as
well as entertain, and as the show's producers volunteer,
"If you are easily offended, this show may not be for
you." In other words, let the voyeur beware!
Tryst
You descend the marble
staircase leading to a lounge, complete with its own
DJ booth, tables and couches. The walls are covered
almost completely by mirrors and you see the plush red
velvet walls of the hall that transitions to the
nightclub. As you emerge from the hall, you can't miss the
club's centerpiece - a 94-foot waterfall. A dark-tiled
dance floor in the center of the club opens out onto the
patio, extending 15 feet over the water outside. Plush,
vanilla-colored seating lines the patio, which wraps
around the semicircular lagoon. Exclusive seating and beds
are available right next to the spectacular waterfall.
